What
are skin growths?
Skin
growths are accumulations of various types of cells that look different
from the normal surrounding skin. They may be raised or flat and range
in color from dark brown or black to flesh-colored or red. They may be
present at birth or develop later as we age.
What
is SuperFrecator?
The
SuperFrecator is a cauterization machine that has been successfully used
for over 30 years by skin care
How
does the SuperFrecator work?
The machine uses a high-frequency
electrical current that delivers a precise spark through a micro-needle
to cauterize and desiccate skin growths. During the procedure the
micro-needle remains above the skin surface; it does not penetrate the
skin. As the growth is removed, a natural protective coating or scab
develops that covers the treated area. With in the next few days, the
scab will fall off and be replaced by healthy new skin cells, the color
of the surrounding skin tissue. In most cases, there is no visible
indication of the previous growth.
How
does it differ from liquid nitrogen?
The SuperFrecator is generally
more effective than liquid nitrogen in removing skin growths.
Frequently, more than one
Is the treatment permanent?
Yes, once a skin growth has been treated with the SuperFrecator, it does not return. However, if your skin is prone to these types of grows, new ones may appear elsewhere on your face and body.

What is a normal growth that I can have removed?
Skin tags- A small tag of skin that may have a stalk (a peduncle). Skin tags may appear on the skin almost anywhere although the most common are the eyelids, neck, armpits, upper chest, and groin. Invariably benign, this tiny piece of skin usually causes no symptoms.
Cherry Angiomas- the most common vasular lesion on human skin. They are made up of clusters of dilated capillaries on the surface of the skin, which accounts for the cherry-red or purple color.
Cholesterol Deposits- (Xanthelasma)- yellowish plaques that are slightly raised on the skins surface of the upper and lower eyelids. It is caused by tiny deposits of fat in the skin.
Seborrheic Keratosis- most common non-cancerous (benign) skin growths in older adults. Appears as waxy, scaly, and slightly elevated. Occasionally, it can appear singly, but multiple growths are more common. Normally painless, and require no treatment. But often are removed for cosmetic reasons.
Telangiectasia- (broken capillaries) most commonly found on the cheeks and nose area, these appear as small red/pink threads under the skins surface. Broken capillaries occur when the capillary walls narrow and widen too quickly causing the muscles in the walls to tear. This in turn allows the blood to seep out resulting in broken capillaries. Dehydrated, dry and sensitive skins often have thin skin that provides less protection and therefore, these skin types are the most commonly affected.
